Slavic
Assassin
MageMorana is the long dark of the year: frost, famine, the sleep from which not everyone wakes. In spring the villages made a straw woman in her image, carried her singing to the river, and drowned or burned her so that summer could come. She never minded. The Cycle of Morana that lets fallen Slavs rise as spirits is her gift and her law: death is a season, not an ending. Her kiss finds the weakest enemy on the board and ends its season early.
